Lady Lancaster Aunt Ethel Grandma Jacket

This is an antique American quilt made circa 1930sto 1940s. It is a traditional Grandma's Garden quilt pattern. The maker was a master, it contains very tiny pieces, and has been beautifully hand sewn and hand quilted. We love the coral pink backing fabric (inside of jacket). This makes the jacket a great fashion multitasker, it looks great worn inside out and upside down. This pieces looks great with denim! The maker was not from a humble home. The quilt contains luxe cotton. In our opinion, the jacket has an excellent weight and drape. It is thin and lightweight. This piece is in excellent condition for its age.
- The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.
